Information pursuant to Art. 13 and 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Telecommunications Act (TKG 2021).

This is a convenience translation. The German version is legally binding.

2. Principles: data minimisation & hosting in the EU

As a provider of anti-money-laundering software for professionals bound by confidentiality, protecting your data is our top priority. Our website and services are operated exclusively on secure server infrastructure within the European Union (Hetzner Online GmbH, data centres in the EU).

3. Cookieless web analytics (Plausible Analytics)

To design our website according to need and measure its reach, we use Plausible Analytics, operated on our own EU infrastructure. Plausible processes data entirely without cookies:

  • No cookies or persistent identifiers are stored on your device.
  • Your IP address is anonymised immediately and not stored in plain text.
  • There is no cross-site tracking of any kind.

The legal basis for this aggregated, non-personal measurement is our legitimate interest in providing our website securely and efficiently (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A cookie banner is not required for this data-minimising basic measurement.

4. Campaign attribution (UTM parameters & cookies)

If you reach our website via advertising or information campaigns (e.g. on LinkedIn), links contain so-called UTM parameters. We use this information to determine which campaigns are successful.

Only after you consent, we store available UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign, content and term), any referring page, the landing page and capture time in the first-party cookie skyco_utm_attribution. The cookie expires after 30 days. If you submit an enquiry, this can attribute the lead to its source. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 165(3) TKG 2021). Without consent, we do not store or submit this campaign attribution.

We save your choice without a unique user identifier as skyco_consent in local browser storage until you change it or clear browser data. You can change your choice or withdraw consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer; this also removes the attribution cookie.

5. Contact forms & launch sign-up

If you register via our forms for product updates, insights, AML training or the market launch of sKYCo, we process the data you enter (email address, name, firm/company, profession, phone number and the product interests you select). The insights sign-up only requires your email address.

Confirming your sign-up: If email confirmation is enabled for the chosen subscription, you will receive a message with a confirmation link. The subscription then becomes active only after you confirm it.

Legal basis: your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or the performance of pre-contractual measures pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by email to office@skyco.eu or via the unsubscribe link in every notification.

6. Your rights as a data subject

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Austria this is the:
